Yoga is known to improve flexibility, balance, and mental clarity, and studies show that even brief exposure to forested environments can reduce stress hormones and boost mood. Enjoy the benefits of both as you start your weekend with an outdoor yoga class beside the flowing waters of Nancy Creek. Nestled among the trees of the Preserve, this all-levels session invites you to stretch, breathe, and move in rhythm with the natural world.
Certified instructor TJ Mangrum will guide you through mindful movement with a focus on accessibility and alignment. Variations are offered throughout to support different bodies, abilities, and experience levels, making this a welcoming space whether you’re brand new to yoga or returning to your mat.
We will meet at the Blue Heron main building and walk into the woodlands for class. Please bring a bottle of water, a mat or towel, and dress comfortably for movement.
This event is part of our annual August Health & Wellness Month—a series of free programs that invite you to explore the many ways nature supports our well-being. Join us each Saturday in August to connect with the outdoors and discover new paths to wellness.
Special thanks to our sponsor, Northside Hospital, for making these events possible and free to the public.
