As a hub for established and emerging nature-inspired artists from Atlanta and the Southeast, Blue Heron Nature Preserve is pleased to host the Meandering exhibition by artist Krista Grecco in our Indoor Art Gallery. The exhibition runs from August 30th thru the Artist Talk at 1:00 pm on October 21st.
Krista Grecco works as a full-time sculptor using porcelain as her medium. She can be found outside most mornings, homeschooling her son among the pine trees and ferns around Atlanta, Georgia. Drawing influence from nature, Art Deco, and vintage toys, Krista imbues her work with emotion and saturated color.
Public and private collections include Ariana Museum of Ceramics and Glass in Geneva, Switzerland, Emory Decatur Hospital in Decatur, GA, and Orlando International Airport (Delta Airlines) in Orlando, Fl.
“Much like the objects I collect and treasure, my figurative and animal sculptures tell
a story….Gesture, form, proportion, and color are pushed, stretched, and simplified to enhance the narrative and highlight emotion.
