Great Southeast Pollinator Census

The Southeast Pollinator Count is almost here, and Blue Heron is proud to host an observation site in our very own community garden! We need citizen scientists like you 🫵 on the ground collecting data for the yearly census.🐝

On August 21st and 22nd, environmental stewards in Georgia, the Carolinas, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi volunteer to aid this crucial effort in better understanding our pollinator populations 🦋

Even if you can’t join us on the preserve, you can still participate at home! Visit https://gsepc.org/ to get resources on conducting your own data collecting session. Just fifteen minutes in the sunshine can have a big impact. We’re excited to see everyone there!
