Kym Barrett
My name is Kym Barrett and I am so excited for this summer! I am currently a special education kindergarten teacher. I love to be outside and I am learning more about gardening everyday.
Simone Fontenelle
Greetings! I‘m Simone Fontenelle, a farmer and nature-based educator hailing from St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. I’m passionate about empowering youth, fostering community building, exploring nature, and promoting sustainable agriculture. As an environmental educator, I‘m always on the lookout for fun and engaging ways to help kids learn and connect with the natural world. My goal is to inspire the next generation of land stewards and environmental leaders. When I’m not teaching, you can find me hiking, gardening, or working on a craft project.
Claire McGovern
My name is Claire and I am a rising sophomore at Emory studying Biology with a minor in Anthropology. I am from North Carolina, and I love hiking, being outdoors, and trying new restaurants throughout the Southeast. I have also ridden horses my whole life! I am so excited for camp this summer!
Bryan Medina
Hi, I’m Bryan. I graduated from Georgia State University last year with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. I have two cats, a boy named Onyx and a girl named Smokey, who love zooming around the house chasing prey and cuddling up when it’s time to unwind. Some of my hobbies are hiking and trail running, as well as rock climbing and bouldering as often as I can. When I’m not on the trails or scaling a wall, you’ll find me nestled into a good book or playing the latest in PC gaming.
Emily Slater
Emily is an enthusiastic and nature-loving camp counselor who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the camp. As a middle school science teacher, she has a passion for sharing the wonders of the natural world with young minds. Outside of the classroom, Emily enjoys the company of her two playful cats and embarks on thrilling hiking adventures to explore the beauty of nature.
Emma Yancey
Hi my name is Emma Yancey! I’m in the business school at Mercer University. My hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, going to the gym and schoolwork. I’m so excited to be able to work in nature and inspire young minds to love it as much as I do!
