The Great Georgia Pollinator Census is Aug 19th an The Great Georgia Pollinator Census is Aug 19th and 20th. This will be the 3rd year Blue Heron has been listed as a public space for you to count butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It’s an extensive citizen science program organized by the UGA Extension. The goals are to increase pollinator habits, increase citizen awareness, and generate scientific data about Georgia’s pollinator populations. It only takes 15 minutes to contribute & you do not need to be an expert! You can do this solo, or come to our beautiful Blue Heron Community Garden Aug. 19 @ 10:00 - 10:30 and join other volunteers. For a downloadable guide, count sheet and where to upload your data, please go to: https://ggapc.org/
