Second Saturday Safari

Held the 2nd Saturday of every month from August - May, the Second Saturday Safari series invites people of all ages to get outside and learn about nature in an urban environment. Facilitated by Blue Heron naturalists, or other experts from the Atlanta environmental community, each Safari takes participants on an outdoor exploration filled with hands-on learning. You won't want to miss out on our 2017-2018 offerings!

Come help us celebrate the beautiful trees here at the preserve! We will be kicking off our very first Festival of Native Trees by highlighting some of our native Georgia species . Join us for our tree decorating workshop, write a note of thanks to a tree or just spend some time learning about the importance they have on our environment and to the species that rely on them. We will take a tour of the other beautifully decorated trees by other community members and cast our votes for our favorites!

Adults: $10
