Public Events

With our arts, education, and conservation programs happening year-round, we have a busy schedule. Among these ongoing events, we have some seasonal and annual events that are fun for the whole family.

Fall Open House: Every fall we open our doors to the public for our Open House, hosted with our partners at Atlanta Audubon and the Amphibian Foundation. From live outdoor theater and artist presentations, to gardening tips and nature-based children’s art, the day is full of a variety of activities. Community partners are here to meet neighbors and local business owners share their goods with visitors.

Earth Day Celebration: Happening on the Saturday closest to Earth Day each year, this event features a native plant sale where gardeners of every experience level can buy seedlings and learn gardening tips from local garden clubs and experienced gardeners. Local nurseries cultivate native species for the event and have a range of plants that attract beautiful pollinators and wildlife.

The Art of Nature Exhibition: Blooming flowers and trees serve as the perfect backdrop for our annual Art of Nature event, where local artists exhibit work inspired by nature- in nature! Artists’ work is exhibited in the very space that sparked its creation. Walk the trails to experience living art like never before in the trees and around every corner.

Doggie Daze: The dog days of summer inspired our annual Doggie Daze event, a morning when dog owners bring their pups out for guided creek walks and socializing. Our business and nonprofit partners come out with treats, raffle prizes and more for a fun day of friendship and exploration.
