Private Events

Looking for the perfect venue for your Scout troop meeting, garden club activity, community gathering or special event? Blue Heron is happy to accommodate your group or rent space out for a variety of private events. If you are interested in one of the options below or have a question regarding something not listed here, call the Executive Director, Kevin McCauley, at (404) 455-3650 and we will get back to you shortly with our schedule and availability.

Outdoor Space Reservation

Groups can reserve space such as the picnic tables or pavilion by calling the office and checking the availability. Though the Preserve is a public park space, we have a busy calendar of events around which we are happy to accommodate your group.

Birthday Parties

Celebrate with family, friends and cake at the Preserve. Parties are available in a range of activities and options. Birthday parties are $150.00 and include a nature-based program with a naturalist and room rental.

For all birthday parties, please call Education Director Amy Zvonar at 404-946-6394 ext. 1

Blue Heron is a perfect backdrop for a peaceful outdoor wedding, without leaving the city. With its beautiful vistas, the Preserve can host your small, romantic special day, and your chosen vendors. Contact us with details and we are happy to coordinate with you individually on pricing and availability.

Garden Clubs

Add a new experience to your garden club’s schedule. Speakers are available for garden club presentations on site or at a place of your choosing and can include lunch or a tour for your group. Donation requested.

Building Rental for Meeting Space

Several organizations conduct meet here in our group spaces, and these rooms are available for rent outside of business hours. Small groups, community organizations, neighborhood clubs, Scouting troops and more are invited to use the building space and learn about the Preserve from one of our staff members.

Contact us with your group’s details and we will work with you to determine which space is best for your group.
