On a beautiful Saturday in May, volunteers from Coca-Cola's Customer Care Center in Alpharetta came to help install a fieldstone landing at the Emma Wetlands Field Education Center. They were quite the dedicated bunch excavating and preparing the landing area. They also helped create a wonderful bird viewing overlook to the beaver pond. The Field Education Centers (FECs) are being built at Blue Heron's outdoor learning environment thanks in part to funding from the Zeist Foundation. Each of the 4 FECs highlight a different habitat and provide hands-on, field laboratory experiences for all ages. We truly appreciate Coca-Cola's commitment to give back to their community and dedication to finding healthy ways to enjoy the outdoors. We hope to have them back to explore the trails and see the fruits of their efforts in creating our Field Education Centers.
