Homeschool Adventures

We offer outdoor nature and science experiences to homeschool groups and individuals. Bring just your students or a whole group to the Preserve for a field trip and have a hike and a picnic, or schedule a semester-length recurring education program.

Contact Amy Zvonar, Education Director, for details on pricing and scheduling: amyz@bhnp.org or (678) 315-0836.

Eco-Adventures for Homeschoolers with Atlanta Audubon

Be a part of our outdoor, nature and ecology-based homeschool program for ages 4-12! Each month we investigate a different topic related to urban ecology and utilize the woods, meadows and waterways of Blue Heron as a living lab. Our inquiry-based programs are facilitated by environmental education professionals, and the majority of our time is spent outside, so be ready to explore!

Sept.-May, 10a.m.-12p.m.
3rd Friday of every month

Registration is required at least 24 hours prior to the program. Registration is closed for the spring but check back for future dates.

The fees for the program are $12/ child if paid beforehand or $15/ child at the door. Parents and siblings under the age of 3 are free; parents may drop off their children or remain for the program. Payment can be made during online registration or checks can be mailed to:
