Join us on December 16th at 1 PM for Amanda Banks' Artist Talk and Garden Party exhibition!

Garden Party is an in-between-place, a place of reclamation and new growth evidenced by natural forms in various stages of birth and decay. Reminding us that life will always find a way and that while we are still here, there is time to enjoy it.

@amandaworld.love is a self-taught mixed-media fiber artist based in North Georgia. Her work is made in response to and dependent on the environments she inhabits, as the majority of her materials are second-hand, scavenged, or donated.

She has taught public workshops and in collaboration with educational institutions. Amanda has exhibited at Swan Coach House Gallery, The Atlanta Contemporary, and the Rome Area History Museum in Rome, GA. She is fresh off a residency at Stoveworks Gallery in Chattanooga, TN and is an upcoming Arrowmont Pentaculum resident.

Working with our community to protect Blue Heron Nature Preserve means everything to us. Four years after completing the Blueway Trail, we continue to commit financial resources for projects and programs that build stronger connections to our magnificent Preserve. Protecting and preserving our ecosystems for futur

Protecting and preserving our ecosystems for future generations means that the landscapes and animals we love don't become a distant memory. Maintaining a healthy and functional ecosystem is possible, but it takes work and community efforts. 🍃

So, we wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for our volunteers! Volunteers have helped us in our conservation efforts by removing invasive plants from our greenspace, maintaining our meadows, and expanding our native plant garden. With four ecosystems in one greenspace, the Preserve offers a variety of natural playgrounds for educational fun. From climbing massive trees to unearthing insects, campers will revel in the joy of small and big discoveries at the Preserve.
