Great Georgia Pollinator Census

  • Blue Heron Nature Preserve 4055 Roswell Road Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30342 United States (map)

Become a scientist for a day! Blue Heron is teaming up with the Georgia Native Plant Society to participate in the Great Georgia Pollinator Census.

Each participant will choose a series of flowers around the garden to observe and count how many honey bees, bumble bees, wasps, butterflies, beetles, flies, and moths visit those flowers in 15 minute segments. Become a citizen science and help contribute to this important research!

Visit www.ggapc.org to learn how to identify and count the pollinators to prepare for the event. Refreshments will be provided.
